Please include your iPhone model, iOS version, and app version. I make PlushDays on my own, so it may take a few days to reply.
1. Why can't I see my Google or Outlook events?
Add the account in your iPhone settings:
Settings → Apps → Calendar → Calendar Accounts
Then check which calendars are enabled in PlushDays under Settings → Calendars Shown.
If no calendar account is set up yet, the Calendar settings page may show Add Account… directly.
2. How do I enable calendar access? Why is the calendar empty?
Open:
Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars → PlushDays
Choose Full Access. Add Events Only does not let PlushDays read your existing events. Then check Settings → Calendars Shown in the app.
You can choose None to turn access off. Without access, the date display, countdowns, and monthly companions still work. You can enable access again at any time.
3. Where are events and countdowns saved? Will deleting the app delete them?
Calendar events are saved to the system calendar you choose on the new-event form, so you can also see them in Apple's Calendar app. Syncing between devices is handled by your own calendar account. Deleting PlushDays does not delete them.
Countdowns are kept by PlushDays itself on this iPhone. They are not written to your system calendars, and PlushDays has no sync service of its own, so they do not appear on your other devices. To delete one, swipe left on it in the Countdowns list, or open it and tap Delete Countdown.
Deleting PlushDays also deletes your countdowns, along with local preferences such as your monthly companions.
4. What do 休 and 班 mean? What if holiday dates are wrong or missing?
In the China mainland region, 休 marks a rest day and 班 an adjusted workday. These come from Apple's China mainland holiday subscription calendar. Apple updates that calendar; PlushDays does not download or store its own holiday list.
If dates are missing or next year's dates are not available yet, check the holiday calendar in the system Calendar app. Also check full calendar access. PlushDays does not show these markers in Taiwan, Hong Kong, or other regions.
5. How do I add widgets or use StandBy?
On the Home Screen, touch and hold an empty area, choose Edit → Add Widget, then find PlushDays. To add a Lock Screen widget, touch and hold the Lock Screen, choose Customize, select Lock Screen, and tap Add Widgets.
For StandBy, charge your iPhone on its side. Touch and hold the widget area to edit it. Put the small Plush Desk widget on the left and the small Plush Month widget on the right for a full-screen calendar pair.
The third widget, Plush Countdown, comes in the small size only. To choose which countdown it shows, touch and hold the widget and tap Edit Widget. If you don't choose one, it shows the nearest upcoming countdown.
Plush Desk and Plush Month read today's and tomorrow's events from your system calendars. Plush Countdown reads the countdowns saved in the app. All of this happens on your device.
6. How do I change the monthly companions?
Open the Companions tab in PlushDays. The tabs at the bottom are Calendar, Countdowns, Companions, and Settings. Tap a month's tile to choose a companion. Touch and hold a tile, then drag it onto another to swap them. You can also choose Shuffle or Restore Default Lineup.
7. How do I change the app icon?
In the app's Settings tab, under App Icon, there are four app icons to choose from.
8. Why does an iPhone sold in China mainland ask about wireless data?
The first time you type while creating an event, iOS may ask whether to allow PlushDays to use wireless data. This comes from the system keyboard's Dictation feature. PlushDays itself does not connect to the internet. Declining the request does not affect PlushDays features.
9. How does PlushDays work on iPhone Duo?
When folded, the outer display shows the same single-page calendar. Open it in landscape to see the month on the left and today on the right.
10. Do I need an account or a purchase?
No. PlushDays has no login, in-app purchases, or paid features.
For details about calendar access and local storage, read the Privacy Policy.
